Konkani cuisine is predominat in the western region of Maharashtra, goa and Karnataka.
Although malvani cuisine is famous for non -vegetarian dishes vegetarian dishes are mouth watering as well.
Konkani cuisine uses coconut predominately in the grated ,paste or in the coconut milk form. Kokam, tamarind and kairi is also used in fish curries.
The malvani masala that we use is a form of dried powder combination of 15- 16 dry spices including coriander seeds, cumin , cardamom ,bedgi mirchi, gavthi mirchi etc.
Ukdiche modak ,shirwale ,ambyach rayat kharwas etc. are the most famous vegetarian dishes.
